Which Purple+ Speed Should You Choose?

Every Purple+ speed includes the same 17 OTT apps and truly unlimited data. The only difference is how many people can stream, work and play at the same time without slowdowns. Here is how to pick.

50 Mbps: small households

Ideal for one to three people with a single main TV streaming in HD, phones on social media and occasional video calls. If nobody streams in 4K and work-from-home is light, 50 Mbps is comfortable and the most affordable option.

100 Mbps: the family favourite

The most popular choice. It handles a 4K TV, several phones, a tablet in an online class and a parent on a video call at the same time. If your household has four or more people, start here.

200 Mbps: busy, connected homes

For homes with two 4K TVs, a gaming console, frequent large downloads or someone uploading big files for work. 200 Mbps leaves headroom so that one heavy activity does not slow everyone else.

300 Mbps: power users

For large households, smart homes with many cameras and gadgets, content creators and anyone who wants downloads to finish in moments. It is also future-proof as more devices arrive.

A quick way to decide

Think about 9 pm on a weekday. Count the screens streaming, the calls happening and the phones in use. Add roughly 25 Mbps for each 4K stream, 8 Mbps for each HD stream and 5 Mbps per call, then add 30% for background activity. Choose the tier just above your total.

Wi-Fi matters as much as speed

If one bedroom always struggles, the problem is likely Wi-Fi coverage rather than plan speed. Move the router to a central spot or add a mesh node before upgrading.
