Why Purple MAX Starts at 100 Mbps
Live TV, multiple streams and calls all share the connection. Here is why we designed Purple MAX with a 100 Mbps minimum.

Customers sometimes ask why Purple MAX is not available at 50 Mbps like our other plans. The answer is simple: MAX homes use their connection more intensively than almost anyone, and we want the experience to stay smooth at the busiest hour.
A typical MAX evening
Picture 9 pm in a joint family. Live news plays on the living-room TV, a 4K series streams in the bedroom, a teenager games online, a parent finishes a video call and five phones scroll social media. Together these activities can easily need 60–80 Mbps.
Headroom keeps everything smooth
Internet traffic is bursty. Apps download in short bursts, phones update in the background and cloud backups start without warning. A 100 Mbps floor gives enough spare capacity that these bursts do not cause buffering on the TV or freezes on a call.
Live TV and streaming together
Managed IPTV runs separately from your internet traffic, but everything else — OTT streaming, gaming, calls and browsing — shares your broadband speed. Starting at 100 Mbps ensures OTT apps get enough bandwidth even when several people stream at once.
Room to grow
Households add devices every year: a new smart TV, security cameras, a gaming console, smart speakers. MAX offers 200, 300 and 500 Mbps tiers so you can grow without changing plans or equipment.
What if you need less?
If your household is small and mostly watches apps, Purple+ at 50 Mbps may suit you better. If you want live TV and a landline, MAX at 100 Mbps is the right starting point.
Wi-Fi still matters
Even at high speeds, weak Wi-Fi in far rooms causes problems. Place the router centrally and connect the TV box by cable for the best results.
The bottom line
The 100 Mbps starting point is about experience, not upselling. It keeps MAX homes buffer-free even when every family member is online at once.
