How to Activate OTT Apps on Your UbiFi Plan

One of the best parts of a Purple plan is the bundle of streaming apps. Activation is mostly automatic, but a few tips help you get started faster.

Activation is linked to your mobile number

After your connection goes live, the bundled subscriptions are mapped to your registered mobile number. You will receive SMS or email messages for apps that need an extra activation step.

Signing in on your phone

Install the app, choose "sign in with mobile number" and enter the registered number. The OTP confirms your identity and the subscription appears on your account.

Signing in on a smart TV

Most TV apps show a code or QR on screen. Open the app on your phone (already signed in), go to the "link TV" or "activate device" option, and enter the code. Alternatively, sign in on the TV using the same mobile number and OTP.

If a subscription does not appear

• Make sure you are using the registered mobile number, not another family member's.
• Log out and log back in — some apps refresh entitlements only at login.
• Wait a few hours after activation; partner systems sometimes sync in batches.
• If it still does not work, contact support with your account ID and the app name.

Managing screens and profiles

Each app sets its own limit on simultaneous streams. Create separate profiles for family members so recommendations stay relevant.

Use the registered number everywhere, link TVs from your phone, and give partner apps a little time to sync. In most homes, everything is set up within the first evening.
