How ILL Pricing Works in India
Why do leased line quotes vary so much? Location, last-mile, bandwidth and SLA all play a part. Here is what drives the price.

Unlike broadband plans with published price lists, leased lines are quoted individually for each site. Two offices in the same city can receive quite different quotes for the same bandwidth. Understanding what drives the price helps you compare offers and plan budgets.
Bandwidth
Higher bandwidth costs more, but the price per Mbps generally falls as bandwidth increases. A 100 Mbps line does not cost ten times a 10 Mbps line.
Last-mile distance and build
The "last mile" is the fiber path from the provider's nearest network point to your premises. If fiber already reaches your building, delivery is faster and cheaper. If new fiber must be laid — with digging, right-of-way permissions and cabling inside the building — costs and timelines increase. Some providers recover this through a one-time charge, others through the monthly fee.
SLA level
Higher availability targets and faster restoration commitments cost more because they require redundant equipment, priority field support and sometimes diverse paths.
Redundancy
A second, physically diverse last-mile path significantly improves resilience and adds to the price.
Contract term
Longer contracts — two or three years — usually lower the monthly charge, as the provider can amortise build costs over a longer period.
Add-on services
Managed routers, firewalls, DDoS protection, additional IP addresses and monitoring dashboards add to the quote but can replace separate purchases.
Location within the city
Business districts and industrial areas with dense fiber often have more competitive pricing than outlying areas.
How to get an accurate quote
Share your full address, required bandwidth, desired SLA, whether you need redundancy and when you need the service. A feasibility check usually comes back within 24 hours.
The bottom line
Leased line pricing reflects the real cost of dedicated capacity and accountability at your specific location. Compare quotes on the same SLA and redundancy terms, not just bandwidth.
